We usually think of November being the time we celebrate Thanksgiving. You know, Mayflower, the pilgrims. Yep, you remember. Now let’s talk about you. What are you thankful for? Health, family, job, finances and home, to name a few, just the fact that you are around another day. Now, my question is who do you express thanks to? Are you like Mr. Rogers? You slip on your sweater and your slippers and sit in your recliner and sing “It’s a beautiful day in the Neighborhood” or do you cherish what God has done in your life. I know you say, “Well I worked for what I have.” True as the Bible says we reap what we sow. But remember it’s by the grace of God that we are here and have what we have. It’s God who gives us the strength and the talent to do those things. It’s God who should be the number one focus in our life. And the Bible said we should give thanks to Him.
Psalm 100 A Psalm of
Thanksgiving.

1. Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2. Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3. Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5. For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
So in closing, how about right now tell God thanks.
Yours in Christ Jesus Mike Taylor

Quote for the Month

"We have been recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown."
Abraham Lincoln In 1863

Thanksgiving

Hello drivers from Miami, AZ. I understand that there are a lot of you I have never had the pleasure of meeting at F.T.C.T. Since I have retired from feeding children at F.T.C. an awful lot of glorious things have happened in my life. For one I am very active in my home church, local food bank and transporting wheel-chair and stretcher patients to dialysis appointments and other medical appointments. Praise God.
I am so thankful that God would open these doors for me to bless others with my talents, which He blessed me with. Ok, enough about me.

I pray each and every one of you are thankful for all that God has done for you. God our Father created the heavens and the earth, then created each and every one of you. He also gave each of us a way home to Him, through His Son Jesus Christ. (John 14:16)—“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Do you know what that tells me? God did not want you to be confused. He gave you only one way home to Him through Jesus. Thank you God.
Some of you may say I believe in God, but I am having a hard time rapping myself around Jesus.
(John 14:1)—“Let not your heart be troubled; Ye believe in God, believe also in me.” (John 14:7)—“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from hence forth ye know him, and have seen Him.” You see brothers and sisters, God is Jesus; Jesus is God. They are one in the same.
I thank God that He does not want us to be troubled or confused so He left us His Holy Spirit.
(John 16:7-15)—vs. 7--Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Vs.8—And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Vs.9—Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Vs. 10—Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me mo more; Vs.11—Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. Vs.12—I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Vs. 13—Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. Vs.14—He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. Vs.15—All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.

So, brothers and sisters, our Thanksgiving should always be centered around the way, the truth and the life, because it will get us to our home once and for all, “ETERNITY.” As always in Christ Jesus.
